If there's a good reason you you could have answered , everybody would have understood. You didn't, you said you don't care. you asked so I answer, how often do I do it? If a Phone has a decent camera and I use it as a camera and it has an sd-card I'd love to use that like a cameras sd card as well fast and easy transfer of big files like 4k cameras in phones produce them. there are few phones with card slots nowdays, linus does and said so and I do apreciate too that it's there at all. but why make using a phone with a camera like a camera impossibble? the question is legitimate but what's worse: why just dismiss it like that? it's not the only thing dismissed like that, this seems to be a production philosphy. I'd love a good phairphone but things like that want to make me buy a different brand. maybe someone of your team reads this, maybe someone takes this to heart as I am sure and you can read here that I am not the only one with the impression that you don't care more about your own vision and Ego than about what customers actually need and want. I put the effort in writing this not because I "hate" but because I hope, I want your idea to succeed, I want your next or the fairphone after that to be one I and lots of others will want and buy.

I feel sorry for you having to do this video. You have to deal with people like Linus who go for the tag lines. I am trying to find a phone and I have it narrowed down to the Fairphone 5 or Xiaomi 13T Pro. The problem with phones like Google Pixel is that there is so much marketing and blah blah it misses what I really want to do. My phone being replaced is a Google Pixel 7 Pro. Take wireless charging, sounds good, and for very simple uses cases no problem. But do wireless charging while using Android Auto. Yeah an hour into the drive my phone shuts down due to overheating. Which means I have to plug the phone in. WRT to having to take the battery out to change SIM and SDCard. Ehhhh sure Linus, try doing that while the phone is running. Want to see how many error messages pop up? I have Sims from PT, FR, and CH. So yes I am confronted with this. Even with an E-Sim it always asks me to shutdown and reboot. So again sorry Linus making an issue of a non-issue.

I was realy shocked when Linus said the Fairphone is not mutch better at repairability. As a tech interested customer I would not work on the other phones while I rely on them to work. Its just very unrealistic.

I think Fair phone is little bit costly, but they can try to reduce the cost of their older models, they should learn from Samsung FE phones and Apple SE phones, FE & SE phones comes with high end processors which are good for gaming, after one year FE phones drop their prices nearly to half of the launch price.

I know this is almost half a year ago, but please, *for pete sake* incorporate pads for a replacement rear cover with the induction coil in it. This is how my LG Escape (P870) did it, and while i loathe to never have a compatible rear cover, it was a thing done in the past, and it is a thing you can do today.

Maybe for Fairphone 6 you have to think about upgrading the phone. Adding a better battery, a better camera if the technology upgrades 3 years after the phone has landed... 700€ here. Come on... The cheapest iPhone is 530€.

I just ordered a fairphone 4. I’m excited, I like repairability and my current phone is a dumb phone. I really don’t need anything great, I intend to make this one a slightly smarter dumb phone.

Where you going wrong us your aiming your product at certain people, you need to make a phone thats repairable but have great performance, gaming of not, alot of people who want to fix their own tech, will be gaming. This could be such a great product and i was so hoping it to have great performance, this let me down will just have to see what upgrades happen because as it stand this is not a 600 pound phone.

I love the concept of the product and I'm saving money to buy fairphone sooner. But please, if you could, bring back the headphone jack in the future fairphone. Although, removable battery in fairbuds is green, nothing can beat headphone jack in their sustainability. I don't care even if it is more bulky and heavier, I would still buy it. Please bring it back.

How much is a fairphone 5, and how much is a fair phone 4 right now?

Man I so much wanted to convince myself to buy a fairphone and I just couldn't. It was not better in any way than my one plus 5 (which actually kudos to that old phone). I ended up buying a Pixel. I just don't bring a pocket camera with me anymore. My phone is my pocket camera, any phone above 100€ is OK enough for daily use.... But the camera makes all the difference. Those moments that I shoot will never come back. And if the camera sucks then the picture will suck forever. I actually I am having the same problem with the fairbuds. I so much want to convince myself to buy the fairbuds because I actually need a new pair of earbuds. The microphone on those buds is terrible, they are unfortunately just not good enough for phone calls which is the one thing they absolutely need to do. I can get by with less than stellar ANC and with audio that is good but not audiophile grade because I will never be using them in a place or situation in which I could actually notice the difference. What I will definitely do multiple times every day is making calls on the train, on the bus, in crowded places, with wind, and the person that is speaking to me needs to hear me clearly and needs to not be annoyed by the quality of my microphone. That just is not delivered by the fairbuds.
